Naval Regions

movecraft_regions._region_bluemap.png

Naval regions are scattered across the oceans. Capturing one gives a battlechest upon winning a battle alongside a daily reward for controlling them.

You can view them on the map, as seen in the picture, and click on them to view information regarding the region. Naval regions may only be attacked on a select few days during a certain window.

The monetary rewards given by a region, as said before, are two-fold. There is a reward for winning a battle and another reward that is paid daily. Both of these rewards are automatically placed inside the nation bank of the controller.

Rewards have a daily decay, so they lose value everyday they pass. The rewards for a region increase as its fought over, calculating how many sinks, damage etc are inflicated to both the attacker and defender.

Essentially the harder the region is fought for, the more rewards it gives.

To incentivise the attacker to actually attack the region and not just wait for the region to decay, if the attacker manages to win the region then the reward from the battle chest is doubled.

Starting Assaults

movecraft_guides_part_three_header_image.png

To assault a region, a nation leader (leader, coleader or general) must pilot a ship, sail to the region and running the command /assault to begin the attack.

Some naval regions, like the mediterranean, have ship class restrictions so that non-capital ships may only fight and enter the region during active attacks.

The assault doesn’t begin immediately, as there is a Preparation Phase for both sides to gather their fleets in the defense and for the attack of the region. Allies can reinforce the region by doing /assault join <region>. For this, the ally must only be allied to one side and not both the attacker and defender.

Naval Battles

Once the preparation phase is over, the naval battle begins and lasts 30 minutes.

To win a battle, one side has to get more points than the other side which will be displayed at the top as a bossbar. Unlike PVP Regions, the only way to gain passive points is for one side to not have any ships in the region at all. The main way to gain battle points is through sinking and defeating enemy ships.

Each ship class rewards a different amount of points upon sinking.

Winning Battles

After winning an assault on a region, the battlechest is paid to the victor and the region is flipped. If the attackers manage to win the region, then their rewards will be doubled. A region, say, valued at $2,000 doubles to $4,000. They receive the doubled battlechest rewards in their nation bank. Passive rewards are similarly deposited into the nation bank as they decay slowly to a configured minimum amount.
