The loop, in five lines
- Justify — pay for a reason to fight a named enemy town, then wait for it to mature.
- Declare — spend that reason to start a war with a named target town and a deadline to attack it.
- Fight — take battles and sieges at the target town while the clock allows.
- Score — hold the target town and occupy more of theirs to pull the score your way.
- Peace — draft terms from your war screen and trade towns and money for a long truce.
The Quickstart walks through each step with the exact commands.
Who may do what
The king always passes every check. Below the king, the rest depend on your nation rank.
| Action | Ranks that may do it |
|---|---|
| Justify a war | king, coleader, general |
| Declare a war | any member of the nation |
| Call an ally to arms, accept or deny one | king, coleader, general |
| Set the nation’s occupation tax | king, coleader, general |
| Start a battle or siege | king, coleader, general |
| Set the nation’s invulnerability window | king, coleader |
| Fight, capture a banner, score kills | king, coleader, general, major, colonel, captain, lieutenant, sergeant, private, engineer, gunner |
| Create an FOB or a siege camp | coleader |
The three commands you actually need
/war— opens the war screen: your wars, your casus belli, peace drafting and everything else in one place./war cbs— lists the reasons your nation has to fight, and the town each one is aimed at./war info— shows a war’s score, who is in it, its battles and how much war exhaustion your nation is carrying.
Everything else — starting battles, bringing allies, taxes, forward bases — is in Commands.
If you only remember three things
- No war without a reason: mark the nation as an enemy, justify the town, wait, declare.
- Battles and sieges can only start on Saturday and Sunday, between
00:00and23:59server time, from the outermost ring of land around the target town. - Holding towns is not free: occupation costs you money every single day until you make peace.
